Arogya

Terms of Service

Version 1.0  ·  Effective: 19 May 2026  ·  Governing law: India

Plain-language summary: Arogya is a personal health records management application — not a medical device and not a substitute for a doctor. Use it to organise and review your family's documents. You own your health data. We provide the tool on a best-effort basis and are not responsible for medical decisions made using it.

1. What Arogya Is

Arogya is a personal family health records management application. It helps you upload, organise, and review health documents — lab reports, prescriptions, discharge summaries, imaging reports, and vaccination records — for yourself and your family members.

⚠ Important health disclaimer: Arogya is a records organiser, not a medical device. The information displayed in Arogya — including extracted lab values, diagnoses, and medication names — is provided for personal reference only. It is not medical advice. It is not a substitute for the advice of a qualified healthcare professional.

AI extraction may contain errors. Always verify important values against your original documents. Never make a medical decision based solely on data shown in Arogya. If you have a health concern, consult a qualified doctor.

2. Eligibility and Account

You may use Arogya if you are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account.

Currently, Arogya is available to a limited number of users during a testing phase. Access may be restricted or revoked at any time during this phase.

3. Your Responsibilities

4. Your Data and Our Access to It

Your health data belongs to you. Arogya does not claim any ownership over the health documents you upload or the data extracted from them.

We access your data only to provide the services described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the processors listed in our Privacy Policy (Anthropic, Google, Fly.io) for the purpose of delivering the service.

When you delete a family member or close your account, your health data is deleted from our servers within 30 days. Your original documents in Google Drive are not deleted — they remain in your Drive under the "Arogya Health" folder.

5. AI Extraction Accuracy

Arogya uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to read and extract information from health documents. AI extraction is not perfect. Values may be missed, misread, or incorrectly associated with a metric. Document quality (photo tilt, handwriting, poor scan resolution) affects accuracy.

Always verify critical health values against your original documents. Arogya provides links to the original document for every metric so you can check the source.

6. Google Drive Integration

Arogya stores your uploaded health documents in your own Google Drive under a folder called "Arogya Health". We request only the drive.file OAuth scope, which limits our access to files that Arogya itself created — we cannot see or access any other files in your Drive.

You can revoke Arogya's access to your Google Drive at any time via your Google Account settings. Revoking access will prevent new uploads but will not delete your data from Arogya's servers.

7. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep Arogya available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features without prior notice during the testing phase.

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will show a notice in the app. Continued use of Arogya after a Terms update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The Arogya application, its design, code, and name are the intellectual property of Kiran G R. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the application without express written permission.

Your health data and documents remain your property. Arogya does not acquire any intellectual property rights over your health information.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Arogya is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kiran G R and Arogya shall not be liable for:

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (currently ₹0, as Arogya is free of charge).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kiran G R and Arogya from any claim, loss, or damage (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the service.

12. Termination

You may stop using Arogya at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email support@ayur-arogya.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Arogya if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or if we discontinue the service. We will provide reasonable notice where possible before termination.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Arogya shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

Before initiating any legal action, we encourage you to contact us at support@ayur-arogya.com to resolve the issue informally.
